Question of the Day
As promised on giant banners and coffee sleeves alike.
If you could have twenty of something right now,
what would it be?
These are some connections we have noticed between the "Love, Loss, Fear" responses. What connections have you noticed in the interviews? E-mail us your connections map to become part of the project!
Talk is a University of Oregon project dedicated to discovering and sharing the connections between all people on campus. We interview students, staff, faculty and campus characters with the goal of archiving the stories of our time.To find these connections, each Talk participant is interviewed on a life theme. The themes vary from humorous to thought provoking. At the end of the interview we ask the participant to share something they love, something they've lost and something they are afraid of. These are things we all share in common. Then the interviews are posted online for everyone to enjoy and contemplate. Through our website we encourage viewers to participate by answering the Question of the Day and sign up for an interview. The connections that we have found within the campus community are illustrated in our Campus Connections online segment. Community members (people who spend most their day on campus) are invited to comment on these illustrations and share their own. A campus of more than 22,000 people can feel like a city of strangers. Or it can be a home to individuals with common goals and beautifully intertwined stories. We created Talk to ensure that our stories are heard, remembered, treasured, and that no one is a stranger.

This is the fabled and mysterious Talk team. Exposed. The people behind the camera prompting innocent participants, the minds constructing complicated festivals and promotions, the talent behind our editing. We are people. We are students. We are purveyors of community oneness and funness.
